5 Things to Order on Amazon to Make Life Easier

Tomorrow is Prime Day on Amazon! In fact, deals start tonight. It’s a little bit like Black Friday in the middle of the summer, but we use it more to stock up on things we need instead of buying a bunch of junk we don’t. Because we are enamored with Amazon and Amazon Prime all the time–not just on Prime Day–we take advantage of it year round to help make things a bit easier of ourselves. Here are five things that show up on our doorstep regularly that help save us both time and money.

5 Things to Order on Amazon to Make Life Easier

Maple Syrup

Let’s start with what might be the strangest item. Maple. Syrup. Specifically, an entire quart of Ben’s Sugar Shack Grade A Dark Amber Pure Maple Syrup. We like the real stuff around here, and my husband has recently become obsessed with putting it in his coffee instead of sugar each morning. Because 12 oz. of maple syrup can be $7 and upwards at the grocery store, this is a no-brainer for us. A quart-size jug of this syrupy goodness is $17.99–and we save 5% through the Subscribe & Save option.

Toilet Paper // Paper Towels

Yes, toilet paper and paper towels are technically two items, but they’re closely related and I always seem to need them right around the same time. Thanks to Subscribe & Save available to us through Amazon Prime, I don’t have to worry about remembering to grab these when I’m in the store. They show up at our door like clockwork, in bulk, to live in our guest bedroom closet until they’re needed. We are big fans of Scott Extra Soft and Brawny XL!

Protein Bars

Before we moved to a bigger city, the availability of health foods was pretty limited. If I wanted a specific type of protein bar, I had to drive 90 miles to find it, or order it on Amazon. I have a much wider range of options now, but I still like to order bars on Amazon if I’m not in a rush. Among some of my favorites are the Oh Yeah! One variety packs and RXBar variety packs.

Dog Food

This is another item that saves us a lot of money. A 15 lb. bag of Iams Proactive Health Mature Adult is around $18, but with Amazon Prime Subscribe & Save, we get 29 pounds of dog food for $27.78. This is an item that is always necessary, because Pippa’s gotta eat too, so it’s always a blessing when it shows up at the door and I don’t have to make a special trip out.

Lip Balm

Last on the list, but certainly not least, is lip balm. My husband is a big fan of Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm (and so am I!), and because he works outside all day long, he goes through tubes very quickly. We always have a few of these stashed in the bathroom drawers, on our bedside tables, or in the car. Hubby carries a tube in his pocket, while I have one on my key ring.

Each of these items saves us time, money, or both, by ordering through Amazon. Sometimes I wonder how we ever managed without it! Don’t you? It took me some time to jump on the Prime bandwagon, but I haven’t regretted it a bit! I have recently been ordering my essential oils on there instead of using Young Living! I LOVED YL but it was getting pricey and I wasn’t using ALL of them before my next order was up.

I also use Amazon for diapers and wipes 🙂 🙂 kid life lol
