Here we are again at the end of another month! I’m not sure about you guys, but I feel like I blinked and suddenly September was gone. I thought the month of August was crazy, but September really knocked me off my feet! With the beginning of the school year busyness brought on by September, I’m hoping October offers a chance to slow down and rest a bit.

Mug Love Exchange Link-Up 2017

One of my favorite parts of blogging is getting know people I might not otherwise stumble across in real life. That’s why a few weeks ago, when I stopped by Lexie Loo, Lily, Liam & Dylan Too, I immediately submitted my information to join this year’s Mug Love Exchange! However, something was nagging at me, and it wasn’t just the excitement I felt about discovering who my exchange partner would be.

An Updated Day in the Life {Fall 2017}

Over the summer, I did a series called Teacher Off Duty and had a lot of fun with it. One of my favorite posts from that series was Teacher Off Duty: A Day in the Life. Well, this teacher has been back on duty for about eight weeks and things are looking different these days, so I figured it was time for an update! I started at a new school in August and am currently training for a half marathon, so life is crazy busy. Buckle in!

4:15-4:30 a.m.: My alarm goes off and wakes me for the day. I drag myself out of bed and stumble into the bathroom to get dressed for my workout. My husband stays in bed for about another hour and does his best to ignore the tiny streams of light peeking through the doorway.

4:30-5:20 a.m.: I start the coffee and let Pippa out to potty and then she goes right back to sleep. Next, I put my shoes on to get ready for my workout. Lately, I’ve been doing traditional weight lifting (in the comfort of my own home!), so I transition between upper body and lower body depending on the day. I still like to add in about one day of total body and one day of yoga per week!

Benefits of Being a Homebody: Pants Optional

I am a homebody and an introvert. I always have been and I think people worried about me when I was single in college. “You’ll never meet someone if you stay home all the time!” Lucky for me, my husband loves staying home as much as I do! Truly, we are two peas in a pod. We are both early to bed, early to rise, and we both enjoy Netflix binging in a t-shirt and shorts (or even just underwear like these for him!) on the weekends instead of crowded pool parties or smoky bars.

5 Ways to Balance Fitness & Fun
These days, we are all so busy! I admire those who seem to fit it all in with no problems. I’m definitely not one of those people! When you’re working to maintain a home, a career, take care of yourself inside and out, and have a social life, it may seem like something’s gotta give. And sometimes something does, but it’s also possible to develop a balance between fitness and fun and be mindful of your choices while still having a good time.
