After a full first two days, we hit three parks, ran a half marathon (well, I did), and spent an evening in Disney Springs. On Sunday, November 5, 2017, I participated in the runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. It was only my second half marathon — the first (Rock’n’Roll Las Vegas 2014) being almost three years ago to the day. About five years ago, I learned about runDisney and ever since it has been a dream of mine to participate in a runDisney event. This year I finally got to make that dream come true!

2017 Disney World Trip Report

A week ago today, my husband and I returned from a Walt Disney World trip that revolved around my running the 2017 runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. The trip and race has been like the light at the end of the tunnel for this blog for months! I’m excited to finally make my way out of the tunnel and recap the first part of the trip for you guys (and the race later this week!). The run was Sunday, the 5th, but we spent a few days on Disney World property beforehand and were able to fit in plenty of fun.

TOMORROW is the day! The day we hop on a plane and head to Walt Disney World. Sunday I will be running the Wine & Dine Half Marathon. I signed up for this race almost a year ago and I have been training since July. To say it’s been a long time coming is an understatement! And to say that I “currently” have all things Disney on the brain would also be an understatement.

Wine & Dine Half Marathon Goals

It’s the week of goals here on the blog! Today, I’m sharing my goals for race day (six days away!), and a week from today, I’m sharing my overarching goals for the month of November. I’m already wondering what the heck I’m going to blog about after next Sunday. 😉 Just kidding–I have a few things planned, though I’ll miss all the 13.1 talk for a while, I’m sure.

As the day gets closer and closer, I’ve begun thinking about my goals for race day and what I’m hoping to get out of it. This is a Disney race, so it’s meant to be FUN. But it’s my first Disney race and only my second half marathon, so I definitely have some ideas of how I hope it will go.
