This week was another rough one! I had Columbus Day off and was excited about that, but ended up spending most of the week sick with a cold. By Thursday, things were starting to look up, and being three weeks away from my race, I’m so glad!

Hello, October! I’m so glad you’re here! The first week was pretty great. I got in a number of runs as well as some other forms of activity. I’m hoping this week brings much of the same success. Last Week's Workouts

This week was a busy one. I was out of town for a conference Wednesday to Friday, so I was totally out of my element. I didn’t get in half the running I wanted to, but I tried to stay active while I was gone so that my butt wasn’t completely kicked when I returned to my normal routine. It’s been raining pretty steadily here over the last few days and has cooled things down quite a bit. I’m hoping that kind of weather sticks around a bit so that West Texas can finally start making its way into fall!

Wine & Dine Half Marathon Training: Weeks 14-18

If you’ve learned anything about me from reading my blog or from following my training journey, it’s probably that I’m a walking contradiction and that I constantly change my mind. I waffle back and forth when it comes to making plans and that’s usually because I feel like I’m not doing enough, but then I realize that I’m doing too much and setting myself up for failure.

While I’m not sure I set myself up for failure throughout this training journey, I’m not sure I took into account all the things. All the things being the busyness of school starting, family obligations, and just responsibilities. For that reason, I’m making a few changes for the final weeks leading up to the race.

Another week has come and gone. It was one of those weeks that was long and short at the same time. I couldn’t believe Friday showed up, yet I was so exhausted and ready for the weekend!
